Sub-project B02 investigates the application of shape memory alloys (SMA) integrated into FRP semi-finished products to create transition structures that are produced by subsequent thermoplastic processes. The central question is to define suitable transition structures for the realisation of a grading, to prove their functionality on the model in tests and by means of demonstrators and to show ways to realise the production of these structures.
