Project Details
The role of thalamic and subthalamic nuclei in action planning and adaptation in hypo- and hyperkinetic motor disorders (C07)
Subject Area
Clinical Psychiatry, Psychotherapy, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
Term
since 2021
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 431549029
Project C07 investigates how networks involved in the planning and adaptation of actions are modified in different neuropsychiatric disorders and by deep brain stimulation. Investigating participants with Tic Disorders, Essential Tremor and Parkinson’s Disease and using simultaneous recordings of local field potential (LFP) and EEG activity as well as employing state of the art deep brain stimulation neuroimaging techniques, we aim to investigate the role of thalamic and subthalamic structures in motor adaptation and effort discounting.
