Circuit mechanisms interfacing adaptive motivation and motor control — Depression as a model of reversible motor control impairment (C06)
Subject Area

Term
since 2021
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 431549029
Project C06 investigates the neural mechanisms by which motivation is translated into motor actions within the conceptual framework of adaptive motor control. Depression serves here as a model of reversible motor control impairment. Specifically, project C06 aims to dissect the various components of motivated motor behavior - including programming, execution, and adaptation - and to explore their modulation by physiological states, encompassing metabolic signals and inflammation.
