P13 aims to unravel the epigenetic and metabolic dysregulation in VHL-mediated ccRCC by studying the interplay between VHL, prolyl hydroxylases, and mTOR signaling. New pVHL interaction partners will be investigated for their integral role in linking the mTOR pathway and lipid metabolic remodeling. RNA-sequencing data from ccRCCs of patients with VHL disease will be studied for pathway signatures and altered transcriptional programs using network analysis methods that allow the identification of features predictive of disease progression from high-dimensional datasets and the transfer of the learned information to similar transcriptomic datasets from hundreds of sporadic ccRCCs.
