Project Details
Stressor modulated community responses and functional redundancy of microbial predator-prey interactions (A06)
Subject Area
Microbial Ecology and Applied Microbiology
Term
since 2021
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 426547801
A06 will address the effects of multiple stressors on grazing selectivity of protists and to a lesser degree of invertebrates. Full factorial replicated time-series experiments will be used to analyse effects between stressor treatments and control treatments during stressor application and after stressor release. In the AquaFlow systems, community shifts of eukaryotes and bacteria will be analysed based on amplicon data. Protist food selection experiments will be applied and the food spectrum of benthic invertebrates will be determined based on comparative analyses of gut con-tents vs. environmental food spectrum using amplicon data.
