Project identifier

The project investigates the reasons for persistent heterogeneity in labor market outcomes and economic well-being. Continuing the work from earlier funding periods, the project team documents effects of heterogeneity in preferences and beliefs, as well as lifetime experiences that might have shaped this heterogeneity. The third funding period will focus on the dynamics of cultural heterogeneity and related outcomes across regions, particularly with respect to the dynamics of inequality and polarization. The work program is empirical in nature and will include analyses of labor market policies.
