Pultrusion of semi-finished products with graded properties using recy-clates from plastic waste streams (B05)

Subject Area Plastics Engineering
Term since 2025
Project identifier Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 525069572

Project Description

This project creates graded semi-finished products (gSFPs) from thermoplastic matrices and glass or car-bon fibre reinforcements. Three types of gSFPs are studied: spoolable tapes, rigid profiles, and strands, all manufactured via a pultrusion process and co-extrusion to achieve graded fibre morphologies. Additionally, the project addresses recycling by evaluating and processing plastic waste, which is integrated into the production of gSFPs, aiming to develop models and production methods based on specified target configurations.
