The network "Queer Linguistics" aims to advance, make visible, and establish research on language, gender and sexuality in Germany. Queer linguistics explores the complex interconnections between language, gender, and sexuality, enriched by critical perspectives on power and normativity. Three main areas can be identified: linguistic structures, linguistic representations, and linguistic constructions. In contrast to the Anglo-American context, for example, queer linguistics in Germany is still in its early stages in terms of research, teaching, and institutionalization. The network "Queer Linguistics" bridges these circumstances by bringing together qualified researchers with different focuses and at various stages of their academic careers. The goal is not only to advance queer linguistic research and network researchers but also to increase the visibility of queer linguistics in Germany and to establish ist perspective in research, teaching, and the academic landscape overall - this includes various concept papers, the publication of an edited volume, and the preparation of a research proposal. Additionally, the network focuses on applying and transferring the gained scientific insights.
