Project Details
3D Printing Functional Structures based on N-Heteropolycyclic Derivatives (C11*)
Subject Area
Preparatory and Physical Chemistry of Polymers
Term
since 2025
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 281029004
We will explore N-heteropolycycles as building blocks for the fabrication of precise and functional 3D microstructures. First, we will exploit their fluorescence properties to fabricate multi-color 3D structures using two-photon 3D laser printing. By careful selection of the heteropolycycle and the substituents, red, green, and blue (RGB) emission will be fine-tuned. In addition, we will investigate the integration of chiral emitters into different 3D structures and the use of other N-heteropolycycles based on spiro-bridged building blocks as new printable materials.
