Project Details
Support Engineering for the Stabilization of Highly Dispersed Metal Catalysts (B05*)
Subject Area
Inorganic Molecular Chemistry - Synthesis and Characterisation
Term
since 2025
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 426888090
This project aims at the modification of various oxidic supports through the incorporation of f-, d- and p-block elements. Through this systematic support engineering approach, highly dispersed metal catalysts will be synthesized with the aim to investigate the balance act between stabilization and poisoning in great detail. The catalytic activity of single atoms, cluster and particles on chemically modified supports will be explored in the gas phase for CH4, NH3 and VOC oxidation reactions with the ultimate goal to establish structure-reactivity relationships in the multi parameter setting between metal, support and support modification.
