It was recently shown that a good knowledge of the space of functions in which a scattering amplitude lives can be used as a starting point to `bootstrap' the final result, without the need for any integral evaluations. This program was particularly successful in the context of scattering amplitudes in the planar N=4 Super Yang-Mills (SYM) theory that evaluate to multiple polylogarithms. The goal of this project is to explore how the bootstrap program in N=4 SYM can be extended to integrals that require non-polylogarithmic functions, especially those associated to Calabi-Yau varieties.
