This bioinformatic project analyses the interaction between transcription factor (TF) proteoforms and their cis-regulatory target promoters. Integrating DNA-level pattern identification and 3-D structural modelling, it explores the dual impact of genomic diversity on TF function, focusing on structural differences within DNA-binding domains and non-coding genetic variation in promoters. Investigating the simultaneous influence of nsSNPs in TFs and non-coding promoter SNPs aims to understand the co-evolution of TFs and their binding sites. High-confidence predictions may guide future projects in subsequent funding periods.
