The principal aim of the project is fabrication of nanostructures (dots, rods, wires, tubes) of materials with magnetic, electric and electrooptic activity via nanotemplating. The approach to formation of nanotemplates consists in combination of two phenomena: molecular assembly and microphase separation in block copolymers. Recently, we have shown that amphiphilic block copolymers are able to molecular assembly with low molar mass additives due to hydrogen bonding. The idea of nanostructure formation in thin films of block copolymer supramolecular assemblies has been proved in the frame of the current BMBF project "Optimization and characterization of nanotemplates from polymers". The supramolecular block copolymer approach was found to be simple, fast and effective way for nanomembrane formation. Two problems are to be solved for fabrication of nanostructures via templating. First, it is desired to extend the crystal-like ordering of the features from several square micrometers up to scale of millimeters. Second, the conditions of the deposition of the desired materials through templates are to be developed and optimized. Thus, we suggest to use electrodeposition of metals, especially those with magnetic properties (Ni, Co, Fe), and electrocondictive polymers to fabricate ordered arrays of nanodots, wires and tubes. Finally, in cooperation with another research groups, we are going to test the obtained nanomaterials with the focus on the properties arising from nanoscale and ordering of the fabricated structures.
