Component design with local density/material variability (A06)

Subject Area Engineering Design, Machine Elements, Product Development
Term since 2024
Project identifier Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 511263698

Project Description

The aim of project A06 is to develop analytical methods for the design of dynamically stressed components made of HyPo-materials. For two applications (structural components and spur gears), the approach is to build a parametric simulation based on the FEA, which works with homogenised material properties. In extensive parameter studies the influence of the degrees of freedom in the design with HyPo-materials on the mechanical stress and thermal behaviour is investigated. Analytical design methods are derived based on the generated simulation results.
