Project Details
Immunological dissection of cell death-induced inflammation in human disease (A14*)
Subject Area
Immunology
Term
since 2024
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 414786233
Human genetic studies started to provide evidence that deregulation of cell death programs may provoke intractable systemic inflammation in patients, although the underlying immunological mechanisms are unclear. The aim of this project is to investigate the immunological pathomechanisms of cell death-induced inflammation by establishing a novel animal model for CRIA (cleavage-resistant RIPK1 induced autoinflammation) syndrome, a genetic condition caused by gain-of-function mutations in RIPK1.
