Subject Area
Theatre and Media Studies
Term
since 2022
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 451897170
The research project focuses on the intervening potential of choreographies. Since the 1990s, movement cultures have become more diversified. Dance, a hybrid art form that straddles stage and practice-based experiment, has held a key position in the field of moving in public spaces ever since. The research project examines the intervening potential of choreographic practices which consider themselves to be “ecological”, i.e., as an interdependent network of actions and situations that operates in a decolonizing manner to empower minorities.
