The research project focuses on forms of intervening through artistic practices (literature, graffiti, theatre) in public spaces in Brazil and Argentina since the 1920s. Its goal is to develop a postcolonial understanding of intervention. In doing so, the research project understands these practices as specifically post-autonomous interventions which take into account the conceptual history of ‘intervention’ as it is associated with the socio-political actions of the military dictatorships in South America.
