Project Details
Functionalization of roadside sensors for the generation of complex traffic-related load data (B02)
Subject Area
Measurement Systems
Term
since 2022
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 453596084
In TP B02, roadside sensors – such as Weigh-In-Motion or the sensitive surface layer addressed in TP A03 – will be investigated and functionalized in order to generate high-precision load distribution data for the digital twin. For this purpose, the sensors are analyzed with regard to achievable data quality. Based on this result, new evaluation algorithms are developed using polynomial movement models, pattern recognition and clustering methods, so that a suitable description of the time-continuous position, the lateral, longitudinal and vertical dynamics of traffic-related loads is produced. The results will, amongst others, be integrated into the overall data fusion (TP B03).
