The goal of the project is the development of a compensation model, which computes the thermo-elastic machining error based on an artificial neural network. The model only uses machine internal data as input. Therefore, it can be parametrized time-efficiently and applied cost-effectively on a variety of machine tools. As a result, the industrial project partner can increase the maximum machining quality of his machine tools.
