The INM - Leibniz Institute for New Materials recommends its publishing scientists to publish research results in Open Access (Open Access Policy of 2017). Since 2015, the proportion of OA publications in quality-assured journals which are subject to a peer-review process, has been growing at INM. The INM library supports OA publishing by participating in consortially negotiated transformation contracts with Publish & Read components. It also provides information and advice on funding opportunities for OA. At the INM, there is a central publication data management in the library, which can acquire exact evaluations of the publication behavior of the researchers at the INM. A central publication cost management does not exist, as yet. Authors at INM have financed publication costs decentrally from their respective budgets, so far. The goal of the application for the period from 2022 to 2024 is to create internal structures for central publication cost management and publication-based accounting. With the help of the DFG's financial subsidy for OA publications, the INM aims to create an incentive to further increase the proportion of OA publications in peer-reviewed journals. The publications subsidized by this funding are made accessible via the Leibniz Association's institutional repository leibnizOpen. This also ensures their long-term archiving.
