Project Details
Development of selective inhibitors and PROTACs for key signalling molecules regulating cell state transitions and the cell cycle (B03)
Subject Area
Biological and Biomimetic Chemistry
Term
since 2021
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 424228829
Knapp has assembled targeted compound libraries with non-commercial molecules. Moreo-ver, he has developed comprehensive and innovative cell-based screening platforms for various groups of targets relevant for the CRC comprising kinases and various epigenetic modulators. He will use these resources to provide and develop tailored chemical probes and PROTACs targeting critical factors within the CRC. Conversely, he will develop compounds that recruit and thus make use of additional E3 ubiquitin ligases to expand the potential of PROTAC approaches.
