Project Description

The distribution of academic paperbacks in the context of the student revolt 1968 will be examined. Publishers of academic paperbacks have to face new ways of reading and communicating among activists that become problematically popular. Academic paperbacks compete with new formats of intervening thought. The TP will conduct studies on the following paperback series: 1) rororo aktuell in its intern competition with rde; 2) Fischer Funk-Kolleg in light of the educa-tional revolution since 1964; 3) academic paperbacks in left-wing publishing houses (EVA); 4) a complete bibliography of Fischer Bücherei.
