Project B01 aims to gain a deeper understanding of magnetization-related fluctuation phenomena from DC to GHz frequencies. It comprises two major lines of research: (A) We propose to explore magnon fluctuations up to GHz frequencies using the inductively detected magnon noise spectroscopy technique we recently established. (B) Hybrid noise spectroscopy experiments – the simultaneous investigation of fluctuations in two different detection channels, respectively – will allow assessing correlation effects in magnetic fluctuations at lower frequencies. For both lines of research, samples with tailored properties are of key importance. We therefore will use liquid phase epitaxy as well as sputter deposition to fabricate appropriate magnetic films.
