Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 432325352
This project focuses on the intricate relationship between adenosine triphosphate citrate lyase (ACLY) activity, respiratory metabolism, and the synthesis of key metabolites like aspartate (Asp), itaconate, metaconate, and nitric oxide (NO) in macrophages in the context metaflammation. They will study the interaction between macrophages and tissue cells, including adipocytes and endothelial cells, focusing on these metabolic pathways and metabolites in the context of obesity, hypertension, and inflammatory responses.
