The project will proceed in high resolution monitoring of atmospheric state variables and vegetation parameters via continuous ground-based measurements and dedicated yearly aircraft campaigns. The constantly growing multi-year data set will be analyzed in collaboration with modelling efforts (especially C4, D6) for detailed analysis of boundary-layer processes and patterns related to surface conditions. Fluorescence measurements will be assimilated into the Community Land Model (CLM) within TerrSysMP in order to quantify the improvements of modelling vegetation CO2 fluxes also under non-stationary conditions.
