Field investigations of an Archaean granulite-facies supracrustal assemblage on the farm Klein Bolayi and environs, Central Zone of the Limpopo Belt, South Africa, followed by zircon dating, petrological characterization as well as Hf-in-zircon isotopic characteristics with the aim to establish the age, petrogenesis, protolith identification and metamorphic evolution of these rocks The overall purpose is to elucidate the previously ill-defined ca. 3.2 Ga early Archaean metamorphic history of the Central Zone and its tectonic significance.
