Global Development Dynamics of Coverage and Generosity in Public Education (A05)

Project A05 examines the coverage as well as the duration and regulation of state education programs in schools as well as for vocational and tertiary sectors, with special attention given to group-specific inequalities. In doing so, the significance of different cultural spheres is analyzed in conjunction with global historical transformations. Methodologically, standardized and qualitative document analyses are used in addition to diffusion and multi-level analyses. Finally, case studies on the influence of global transformation processes on education policy (Senegal, Ghana, Malaysia, Cambodia) will be conducted using a “nested design”.
