We will investigate fundamental aspects of immersive analytics (IA) and develop IA applications for the life sciences. Fundamental research focuses on variations of the level of immersion during data analysis, IA applications are metabolic network models, spatially resolved transcriptomics data, and brain structure data. Finally, we will evaluate the use and benefits of IA for entire domain-specific workflows and compile guidelines for the development of IA applications in the life sciences.
