Project Description

The contemporary Italian studies sub-project M explores the narrated representations of invective constellations in migration contexts, in order to analyze the moderating and reflective potential of such narratives. In the second funding phase, the focus is on the connection to Italian colonialism: In current migration narratives, as well as in texts and films created during colonialism up to 1943. Constellation analysis will be used to examine how the respective presented modes of disparaging differentiation are motivated or epistemically linked.
