Project Details
Pathophysiology and advanced approaches for subtyping in primary aldosteronism (B15)
Subject Area
Endocrinology, Diabetology, Metabolism
Term
since 2017
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 314061271
Identify metabolomic/steroidomic signatures by in situ MALD-MSI and Q-TOF mass spectrometry in adrenal and plasma samples for stratification of patients according to disease subtype and therapeutic outcome.(II) Elucidate transcriptome signatures in APAs and in different subgroups of APMs by untargeted spatial transcriptomics to gain insight into disease pathophysiology.(III) Establish impacts of genomic and pharmacological manipulations, related to the pathophysiology and treatment of primary aldosteronism, on steroid pathway dynamics.
