A central goal of the CRC is to provide open model-, data-, and evaluation-platforms that enable (1) building of “digital twin” models at different abstract levels, (2) support model comparisons and (3) foster collaborative usage by the entire research community. In collaboration with all PIs, the INF project will therefore both contribute conceptual approaches for the interdisciplinary challenge in NeuroAI of model evaluation, and provide support for the development of open-source datasets, models, and tools. In particular, this will entail providing computational tools to evaluate models at various scales and levels of detail, focusing on enhancing understanding beyond mere prediction.
