The central goal of S04 in the 3rd phase is to invent a localization system capable of sub-mm tracking accuracy in dynamic environments where moving objects may be randomly obstructed for a limited time. The S04 system will be designed to ensure fast response times suitable for dynamic environments, while aiming to operate effectively in both indoor and outdoor environments with minimal reliance on existing infrastructure. RRTs (C09), RIS (S03), and RIV (M03) will be used as infrastructure elements to improve localization accuracy. Due to the large array size available on the moving or flying robot, S04 takes advantage of the near-field wave propagation. In addition, distributed incoherent THz radar concepts will be used for self-localization and self-tracking to achieve sub-mm accuracy with minimal external infrastructure. The evaluation of the proposed system will be performed in the PreSyse lab.
