M01 leverages the rich capabilities of the novel PreSyse Lab for localization, imaging and mapping with a focus on dynamic environments. Electronic, photonic and micromechanical transceivers that efficiently process dynamic scenes will be compared against precise THz instrumentation to assess their limitations while adjusting object velocities from microns to meters per second. This is made possible by PreSyse Lab's dual robots, one carrying the transceiver and the other carrying the object, e.g. a human THz phantom to mimic human motion. In addition, a large public 3D THz image database, called "AITHzdata", of homogeneous and inhomogeneous objects in static, mobile and dynamic environments will be built up, extending the VERIE public THz database "MARIEdata". Along with MARIEdata, AITHzdata will be one of the long-lasting outcomes of MARIE and will be available free of charge to all scientists worldwide.
