In the first funding period, the work carried out in project C02 proved that the load transfer of beams can be specifically controlled by integrated fluidic actuators. The generated hydraulic internal pressure completely compensates for the deflection of the investigated concrete beams despite external loads. Since the deformations are often the determining factor for the design of components subject to bending, a significant performance increase is possible. In comparison to beams, the load transfer of plates is multi-axial. Therefore, the actuation and actuator concepts are adapted and extended considering the multi-axial state of stress. Additionally, new concepts must be designed for the integration of system components.
