Visual analysis of adaptive and ultra-lightweight structures and building skins (B05)

Subject Area Security and Dependability, Operating-, Communication- and Distributed Systems
Term since 2017
Project identifier Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 279064222

Project Description

Project B05 communicates the properties of an adaptive building through intuitive visualization and thus enables qualitative assessment by researchers of other projects. The research of visual abstractions in parameter space and in spatial context, as well as visualization techniques for the comparison of distinct variants, facilitates a better understanding of the topologically and geometrically highly pa-rameterizable adaptive structures and skins. Further subject of research is the development of interaction and visualization techniques for the onsite analysis using augmented reality headsets. This enables visualization and analysis of relevant data in direct spatial context of the real environment. Making site plans, simulation data and sensor data accessible to researchers on location ensures a more efficient workflow.
