Project Details
Control concepts for adaptive structures (B04)
Subject Area
Automation, Mechatronics, Control Systems, Intelligent Technical Systems, Robotics
Term
since 2017
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 279064222
Using a distributed parameters approach, the methods for modeling and system analysis for a beam with integrated fluidic actuators are to be transferred to a two-dimensional structure with special focus on actuator placement and disturbance compensation. Regard-ing truss structures, non-linearities are considered and the respective methods for deriving control design models are generalized along with development of appropriate damping and disturbance compensation algorithms. Inversion-based disturbance compensation algorithms are a main focus for bridges. In the second part of B04, the aim is to model relevant building physical processes in order to develop controllers and optimization-based short-term operational strategies for the facade-systems developed in project area C.
