This network connects early-career researchers from history and law to debate jurists and lawyers as actors in international politics. It provides a platform for new research and current trends in the history of international law. The participants will conduct case studies on the role of individual jurists and lawyers connected to the foreign policy establishment, to international organizations, or to transnational companies. The main objective is to situate legal practices and legal thinking within the broader framework of international relations from a historical point of view. The network will hold a series of meetings and conclude with a workshop and the publication of its findings.
