The central goal of this project is the quantitative description of the relevant observables of an interacting many-body quantum system. Experimentally, small samples of atoms under well controlled conditions allow us to detect the position and momentum of each and every single particle of more than 100 particles. The high-order correlation functions obtained in this way will be an ideal benchmark and input for theory. There we will compute general n-particle correlation functions of 1 - 100 correlated fermions in a harmonic trap, as well as in the many body limit. In combination the experimental and theoretical correlation data are used for learning the correlation pattern of the system.
