Thermalisation dynamics and infrared phenomena in heavy-ion collisions (A01)

Subject Area Nuclear and Elementary Particle Physics, Quantum Mechanics, Relativity, Fields

Project Description

The central goals of this project are the description of the thermalisation dynamics of quark-gluon matter and the identification of experimental low-momentum observables for hadron collisions in view of new detector developments. We will devise novel predictions of infrared and universal phenomena in strong-interaction physics. To achieve this, we consider far-from-equilibrium scaling associated to nonthermal attractors, and critical phenomena close to equilibrium, from a common perspective.
