Term
from 2016 to 2021
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 268730352
This project investigates heterogeneous nucleation with shape-anisotropic nanoparticles at surfaces with tunable surface chemistry. The tools developed in the first funding period will now be used to investigate heterogeneous nucleation of binary nanoparticle assemblies/mesocrystals, to work out the dependence of nucleation on shape of each type of nanoparticles, their mixing ratio and interactions as well as the role of surface topology and confinement on structured surfaces. In addition, it will be investigated in how far the binary mesocrystal structure and therefore the properties are influenced by these parameters.
