Project C7 explores property models for numerical alloy development on the base of calculation of phase diagrams (CALPHAD). The influences of segregation and non-equilibrium solidification on material properties are identified and are integrated into existing models. Furthermore, new models to predict creep resistance and susceptibility to cracking are developed. Finally, these models are applied to derive new optimal composition for casting and additive manufacturing.
