Project Details
Interface-dominated hybrid 3D nanoarchitectures with tailored opto-electronic properties (A11*)
Subject Area
Experimental Condensed Matter Physics
Term
from 2015 to 2019
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 182087777
A11 aims at specifically designed and fabricated novel 2D and 3D metallic and semiconducting inorganic materials in conjunction with organic components. Nanostructures of Si and GaN as well as plasmonically active metals will be fabricated. These will be combined with organic emitters and conductive polymers to integrate and evaluate well selected cases of hybrid interfaces in nano-optic and opto-electronic devices. The band alignment, current transport and stability of planar and 3D hybrid systems will be tested and tuned in a functional device environment. In-situ nanomanipulation and nanoprobing in combination with correlated microscopy/spectroscopy techniques will permit readout even of individual functional nanoscale HIOS and hybrid nanostructured devices.
