The Formation of Feeling in Vietnamese Berlin II: The institutional field of parenting support (A01)

This anthropological project addresses the formation of feeling within the transnational social space of “Vietnamese Berlin”. In the second round it focusses upon the institutional field of parenting support, which aims at transforming diverging parenting practices in accordance with the current pedagogical guidelines in Germany. Through case studies the project explores the affective dynamics and formations of feeling that are involved in the negotiation of diverging pedagogical norms. Based on its empirical insights the project develops in addition application-oriented programs of knowledge transfer.
