Fast and high-resolution imaging of leukocyte trafficking using spinning-disk confocal microscopy (Z03)

Subject Area Medicine
Term from 2015 to 2023
Project identifier Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 165054336

Project Description

Using the technical service platform spinning-disk confocal microscopy (SDCM), we could significantly enhance the scientific spectrum of CRC 914 during the second funding period. We established cutting edge imaging applications to analyze fast processes during leukocyte trafficking in vitro, ex vivo and in vivo at high spatiotemporal resolution. For the third funding period, we will further expand our in vitro and in vivo imaging repertoire. This will help many projects within our CRC to gain new insights into the molecular mechanisms of leukocyte trafficking. Our SDCM platform will therefore be an essential component for the success of CRC 914 during the third funding period.
