The major goal for this project is to provide the project partners within the SFB 1170 with high quality HgTe sample material adopted to the specific needs of each individual project, where the portfolio reaches from 2D and 3D topological insulators over Weyl and Dirac semimetals to Kane semimetals. Novel growth modes of HgTe on substrates with different surface orientations will be investigated and optimized.
