This proposal plans the coordination and management of the priority programme SPP 1959 in order to guarantee enough coherence in the scientific activities, providing an exchange platform to facilitate the contacts between members of different expertise areas, and to build synergies between groups and projects. In summary, the objectives of the coordination project are as follows: -Coordination and management of the SPP 1959-Initiation of a research network structure-Organization of scientific meetings -Design and maintenance of a web-platform for exchange and data repository-Special support of gender equality-Promotion of young researchers-Communication of results to scientific communities, society and industry
