Future Public-Key Encryption and Signature Schemes (P01)

Subject Area Theoretical Computer Science
Term since 2014
Project identifier Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 236615297

Project Description

The goal of the project is to provide practical post-quantum secure public-key cryptography. For this, it assesses the currently understudied hardness of isogeny-based assumptions, especially with regards to highly parallelized attacks using high performance computing and develops efficient countermeasures against physical attacks. Furthermore, the project builds secure advanced isogeny- and lattice-based cryptographic schemes, thus increasing the pool of available post-quantum alternatives.
