The central office (CO) is in charge of all administrative issues at stake and is co-operating with the institutional administrations of all research sites involved. Financial management will include requests for disbursement of funds, allocation of funds to the partner institutions, monitoring of expenditures and providing financial status reports to the DFG. Depending on the research site, a few projects will be overseen also in aspects of human resources (employment, travel organization, reimbursement procedures) and purchasing management. The self-dependent organization of international symposia, seminaries, colloquia, and Research Unit internal meetings forms part of the assigned task. The central office will co-operate closely with the DPZ Göttingen, especially in the field of public outreach activities and will be responsible for designing and updating the Research Unit’s website. Scientific reports and applications will be compiled and edited by the CO. We plan to entrust a well-versed administration assistant, who has already gained experience in the field of managing research units and a collaborative research centre, with these duties and responsibilities.The CO will also be in charge of the funds procured for outreach activities of the Research Unit. They will be used to support outreach activities already provided by the press office of the DPZ, made possible by institute funding. As the DPZ press office has to cover any kind of work using non-human primates, additional funds would allow us to strengthen the communication of primate neuroscience and in particular, the specific research interests of the Research Unit.
