Zusammenfassung der Projektergebnisse

During this study the most important biasing factors (spectral evaluation, sample heterogeneity, instrumental bias) in RSCM-geothermometry after Beyssac et al. (2002) were identified and partly quantified. The findings were then used to further investigate methodical aspects of Raman spectroscopy on dispersed vitrinites. Lünsdorf could show that the Raman spectra of vitrinites from deep diagenetic to subgreenschist facies conditions are unaffected by polishing and best analyzed with near UV lasers. Lünsdorf and Lünsdorf (2016) developed an automated curve-fitting software to eliminate the spectral evaluation bias. This software and results of the former studies were then combined to formulate a methodical protocol for the revised RSCM-geothermometer, which is based on a publicly available reference sample set.
