Project Details
CerS in colon cancer: Influence on T-cells and tumor environment (B05)
Subject Area
Pharmacology
Term
since 2013
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 204083920
Using human and mice primary T-cells, we want to investigate the role of CerS1, CerS3 and CerS5 on T-cell signaling, development and activity. Furthermore, the impact of these CerS on the communication between T-cells and colon cancer cells are investigated. In vivo, we ascertain the influence of CerS1, CerS3 and CerS5 in T-cells on the development of colitis and colitis associated carcinogenesis. At the end we want to bring together evidence, whether CerS1, CerS3 or CerS5 expression in T-cells are prognostic markers for T-cell activity under inflammatory condition or important for the anti-tumorigenic activity of T-cells.
